High Accuracy, High Stability Temperature Sensor

North Brunswick, NJ, November 22, 2010

In response to industry demands for a high‐accuracy, high‐stability temperature sensor, Heraeus Sensor Technology, the leader in platinum wirewound temperature sensing technology, has developed the KX Series of platinum temperature sensors. Supplied in the familiar ceramic wirewound construction, the palladium‐gold alloy lead wires assure excellent ohmic contact to extension leads via welding or brazing. Key features include:

• Interchangeability—Supplied in Pt100, as per IEC   60751
• High accuracy—Available in W0.3 (B), W0.15 (A), or   W0.10 (1/3B) accuracy
• High stability—0.025 ohms maximum ice‐point   resistance shift after 10 consecutive cycles
  from ‐196°C to +400°C
• High vibration resistance‐‐±0.005 ohms   maximum shift after 30 minutes 14g peak vibration
• Low hysteresis‐‐±0.015 ohms maximum when   tested per IEC 60751 method

Applications include laboratory thermometers, high‐precision process thermometers, and other applications requiring a high‐accuracy, high‐reliability temperature sensor. Parts are currently available from factory stock.
