SMD Platinum RTD Temperature Sensor for Biomedical Applications

Heraeus Sensor Technology has introduced a surface mount platinum RTD temperature sensing element uniquely suited for use in biomedical applications. Available in both Pt100 and Pt1000 values, The 0805 SMD RTD sensor offers the stability of a thin film platinum RTD in a standard surface mount package. When compared to other types of SMD temperature sensors, the 0805 SMD Pt RTD offers superior post-soldering stability. The small package size insures a fast thermal response time, and is ideal for applications where space is a premium. Applications include temperature compensation in personal glucose testers, breathing sensors, and patient temperature monitoring & management.
