Platinum RTD Temperature Sensor Now Available in SMD 0603 Package

In response to industry demand for smaller, lower-power components, Heraeus Sensor Technology has developed an SMD 0603 package Platinum RTD temperature sensor. The small footprint, 75% smaller than a 1206 package, allows for greater component packing densities, and extremely fast response times. The sensor features an operating range of -50 to +150 Deg. C., and tin-plated nickel barrier terminations assure compatibility with standard reflow or wave soldering processes.

The SMD 0603 Pt RTD sensor is an ideal solution for systems requiring a low-cost, precision sensor for temperature compensation or measurement. Areas of application include temperature compensation in thermopiles, strain gages, load cells, gas sensors,
TCXOs (temperature-compensated crystal oscillators), and biomedical sensors.

0805 and 1206 SMD packages are also available.
